Academic Experience

Throughout my studies at Griffith University, I’ve engaged in various academic and group projects that strengthened my research, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.

As part of my Business degree at Griffith University, I completed a course in Data-Driven Decision-Making, where I developed and presented interactive dashboards using Excel. In this project, I analysed sales, profit trends, customer segments, and product performance to uncover business insights. Using visualization tools Power BI like line charts, pie charts, and maps, I created a comprehensive dashboard to support strategic recommendations.

Through these projects, I practiced designing intuitive interfaces and using slicers and filters to allow dynamic exploration of data. I also learned how to effectively use DAX formulas in Power BI to create calculated fields and measures that supported deeper analysis. Presenting these insights to peers and instructors helped strengthen my communication skills and confidence in delivering data-backed recommendations.

This hands-on experience significantly enhanced my analytical thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling with data. It deepened my understanding of how data can drive strategic business decisions and increased my interest in pursuing further studies or a career path related to business analytics, consulting, or data science.

As part of my business studies, I analyzed Zara’s value chain to understand how global brands manage logistics, marketing, and technology. I explored how Zara works with ExpoFreight and DHL to streamline supply chains, uses Instagram for customer engagement, and applies AI through Jetlore to predict consumer behavior. This case study helped me apply theory to practice and strengthened my understanding of strategic business operations.
